The Ministry of Finance in the UAE has added new digital payment options for federal fees and fines. Residents can now settle obligations using the Aani instant payment platform and the Jaywan domestic card scheme.

This federal entity stands as the pioneer in implementing this initiative. The decision follows Cabinet Resolution No. (176M/4M) of 2026, which formally authorizes the integration of modern financial tools into official channels. It sets the stage for other agencies and collection banks to introduce the two systems in line with their approved procedures.

The announcement highlights the modernization of the government payments ecosystem. Officials state this change accelerates digital transformation while providing customers with faster, flexible, and more convenient payment options across federal services. The goal is to improve the customer journey and support the wider vision of a secure, efficient financial environment.

The two systems explained: Aani is the UAE’s national instant payment platform. It allows customers to make secure fund transfers around the clock using identifiers like the International Bank Account Number (IBAN). Jaywan is the national domestic card payment scheme. The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates launched this scheme to support the growth of the digital economy.

This scheme provides customers with a wider range of payment options. It enables them to complete federal financial transactions with greater ease.

Federal officials highlight efficiency: Younis Haji AlKhoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, called the introduction a strategic milestone. The Undersecretary stated that the integration would improve efficiency and simplicity. He added that the solutions match daily payment needs and contribute to sustainable financial flows.

Younis AlKhoori emphasized that the Ministry has been committed to leading the implementation of this ecosystem. The infrastructure is secure, reliable, and seamlessly integrated with banks and collection partners. He stressed that the adoption maintains high standards of security and speed.

He noted the initiative will deepen integration with national infrastructure and accelerate revenue collection. This official added that the move improves government revenue management while providing greater flexibility.

For residents managing daily finances, these technical upgrades offer a practical benefit. By adding instant transfers and card payments, the government reduces the friction of administrative compliance. People can now handle fees without leaving their homes or waiting in long queues at service centers.

The Ministry will continue to harness the latest financial technologies. The adoption of Aani and Jaywan supports the leadership’s vision of a secure, efficient, and digitally enabled financial ecosystem. These tools directly contribute to ensuring sustainable financial flows and reducing transaction operating costs.
